Padam
Kumar is said to be a very strict director to work for.
Uday:
'Padam Kumar gives the impression that he is very strict
and firm man. But the fact is, that he is focused in his work.'

How
different was it working in romantic films as compared to action
packed Supari?
Uday:
'It's like chalk and cheese. It's a different ball game
altogether. I can identify with the characters from my past
films but in Supari, its completely different.'
'I
cannot relate to Aryan in Supari as it's not me at all. Padam
Kumar actually helped us a lot. He is an excellent director.
Although I found my character very challenging, I did have
fun making Supari.'
Why
have you been so choosy with regards to film offers?
Uday:
'After Mohabbatein, I had many offers and I met many people
but I am always searching for that one script which would
take me that one step ahead.'

'My
problem is that, I have come from a background that has seen
quality cinema and so I am completely aware of this.'
'So,
whenever I get to see a script which is not up to that level,
I cannot bring myself to do the role. It might be a slow process
reaching to the top but I am patient. I don't want to get
into something that I am not completely convinced about.'
Manish
Gajjar: 'We all agree with Uday. Patience is a virtue.
We look forward to seeing more of him in the near future.'
'In
the meantime let's wish him all the best with his latest release,
Supari which will find its way in Shropshire cinemas soon (UCI
Telford).' |
