LOC
is based on a true event. It tells the personal story of soldiers
involved in the 1999 Kargil conflict.

Abhishek Bachchan and Esha Deol in LoC

Director
J.P Dutta, who is no stranger to patriotism and war epics, spent
almost three years researching the subject before bringing it onto
the big screen.
He
won critical acclaim for the 1997 box office hit Border.
He
will no doubt be a strong contender for the best director award
at the next Filmfare Awards ceremony for his hard work.
Music
for the film is provided by Anu Malik. He has given the film a 'realistic
edge' with his sombre and moving tunes throughout the movie.

Ajay Devgan & Rani Mukerjee

This
blends in well with the mood of the film. It is a far cry from the
contemporary tunes we are used to hearing.
The
film consists of a huge Bollywood star cast, last seen in Border.
This
includes Abhichek Bachchan who plays Vikram Batra, Ajay Devgan as
Manoj Pandey and Akshay Khanna as Lieutenant Balwant Singh.
The
film also has the presence of Saif Ali Khan who is currently riding
high after the super box office success of Kal Ho Na Ho.
The
heroines in this movie include Esha Deol, Rani Mukerjee and Kareena
Kapoor to add some romantic moments in between the tense war undertone.

In
LOC, we will expect to see a high calibre of work from the
director.
Despite
the opening of Lord Of The Rings, LOC is bound to
do well in UK cinemas.
So
book you seats now for a Bollywood experience to remember, on 19th
December 2003.
