They
say school days are the best time of your life but as children, we
never appreciate this fact until we reach adulthood.

We
always dream of going back to the carefree life of the academic
institution once we have tasted life's various experiences.
And that's exactly what happens to Major Ram Prasad Sharma (Shah
Rukh Khan).
Ram is the son of the late Brigadier Shekhar Sharma (Naseeruddin
Shah) who has always been patriotic.
Ram
is assigned the task of managing Mission Milap, which will
bridge the political gap between India and Pakistan.
So
he goes undercover and decides to operate his mission from a school.
Only the headmaster is aware of his real identity.

On
the school campus, Ram comes across Laxman (Zayed Khan) whom he
takes an instant liking to.
Then
there is the mischievous Sanjana (Amrita Rao) who loves Laxman,
but until now has kept this a closely guarded secret.
Another
character in this romantic comedy is Chandni (Sushmita Sen), the
chemistry teacher with whom Ram eventually falls in love.
Then
we have seedy young Professor Raghavan (Suniel Shetty), the physics
teacher. But he is not what others think he is.
Raghavan
acts as a negative barrier in Ram's quest. So to achieve his goal
and secret of Mission Milap, he woos Major Amarjit Bakshi's
teenage daughter, Sanjana (Amrita Rao).
Last
but not least, we have Madhu Sharma (Kiron Kher) who is Lucky's
mother.

some odd reason, Ram feels he knows her. So who is this woman and
how is she related to him?
