Nihaal
Singh (Sunny Deol), is a local police constable in his village based
in Punjab. One day he accidentally sets free a terrorist by the name
of Romeo (Kamaal Khan).
He
is branded a traitor by the entire village. Matters get worse when
the police learn that Romeo is on a mission to kill the President
of the USA!
So
now the story shifts to New York as the FBI seeks the help of our
Punjabi putra (meaning our Punjabi brother). Only Nihaal can identify
Romeo, who has many disguises.
On
reaching the Big Apple, Nihaal insists to the FBI that he takes
him back to India so that he can clear his name.
But
the FBI has other ideas - they want Romeo behind bars and on no
account would they let this terrorist travel back to Punjab.
So
a battle starts between the two - the FBI and the Punjabi constable
- as both try to be first to catch Romeo.
And
that, folks, forms the basis for this movie which has a strong Punjabi
flavour and vibrant colours.
Apart
from the action sequences, which are really impressive, this film
also has its share of comedy.
Sunny
Deol is his usual self in this film, a true Punjabi guy. Newcomer
Kamaal Khan is just about OK. Guess he will improve with his acting
as days go by.
Overall,
this film will do well because it has equal amounts of action and
comedy. But most important of all, if you are a Sunny Deol fan,
then this film for you!
