| Mac
(Akshay Kumar) is a photographer already engaged to Anjali (Rimii
Sen) but he still has time to find himself an empty flat and access
to three beautiful air hostesses - Priti ,Sweety and Puja.
He
convinces each one of them that she is the one for him.
Onto
the scene comes Sam (John Abraham), who happens to his best friend.
But this time, he becomes his rival, causing more damage than good
for poor old Mac!
Add
to this mayhem a mad cook (Paresh Rawal) and you end up with Garam
Masala (meaning hot and spicy!)
Garam
Masala might be a remake of Priyadarshan's Malayalam film, Boeing
Boeing, but this Hindi version will have you in stitches from
the minute the film starts.
This
time round, Priyadarshan really excels at what he does best and
that is directing comedies.
One
scene that will remain in your mind is when all three girls end
up in Mac's flat and yet manage to avoid seeing each other.
Now
that is one heck of a scene to direct! And you don't see many of
those in Bollywood films.
The
entire film belongs to Akshay Kumar who easily delivers the punch
lines at the right moment.
John
Abraham provides able support to Akshay whilst Paresh Rawal is just
brilliant - he has a natural gift for making you laugh!
All
the female stars provide glamour and support to the lead male stars
throughout the film and complement the comedic proceedings on screen.
On
the whole if it is pure laughter you are looking for then Garam
Masala is the film for you.
Looking
at the UK box office figures, there is no doubt that Garam Masala
has got the thumbs up by the UK audience.
They
