Debutante
Mashhoor Amrohi performed a daredevil stunt in Singapore last
week for his Bollywood film 'Hum Laakh Chhupayein Pyaar聟
Magar'.
The 24-year-old writer-director-actor shot this sequence on
himself at the renowned Orchard Street.
The
scene required him to leap onto a speeding motorbike which
crashes against a racing car. He ends up saving a toddler
and impressing his on-screen girlfriend in true Bollywood
filmi style.
Mashoor,
who refused to use a body-double for the sequence said, "The
audience today is very clever. They can't be fooled or taken
for granted with special effects or a stuntman. And after
all, even a body-double is a human being. If he can do it,
so can I."
Since
the sequence proved a danger to others, Mashhoor took extra
precaution with body padding and medical back-up.
The
boy even rigorously worked out in his gym for two months prior
to this stunt.
