A Bollywood
entertainer focusing on six married couples on a subsidised honeymoon
trip to Goa.
Oscar
(Boman) and Nahid (Shabana) are two divorced pensioners full of
gusto, happily married second time round.
Harbouring
a dark secret are Pinky (Amisha) and Vicky (Karan).
Then
there is Partho (Kay Kay) and Milly (Raima) of different natures,
who are too afraid to chill out in life.
We
also have a Gujarati couple, Hitesh (Ranvir) and Shilpa (Dia) who
are finding it difficult to consummate their arranged marriage.
Meanwhile,
Los Angeles born Bunty (Vikram) met Madhu (Sandhya) online. They
cannot come to terms with their relationship due to a difficult
past.
Finally,
we have the picture perfect, cute couple, Aspi (Abhay) and Zara
(Minissha).
Envy
of everyone, they have been childhood friends hiding a secret from
each other.
Considering
this is Reema Kagti's directorial debut, she manages to hold your
attention.
That's
because audiences can easily relate to some incidents which they
may have come across at some point in their lives.
There
are humorous moments aplenty as the film explores the couples' relationships.
But
due to a weak script, the film fails to evolve each character as
the story unfolds.
The
novel idea of a radio presenter revealing secrets of each couple
and their past is very well executed by the director.
Of
the cast, Shabana, Boman and Kay Kay are brilliant performance-wise.
They are really true on-screen naturals. Others
provide able support to the proceedings.
Overall,
this Bollywood fare entertains in parts. For a small budget film,
Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd has taken a surprising weekend total of
just over 拢45,000 in it's opening weekend.
