Living
off his deceased parents' wealth in South Africa, Arjun (Tusshar),
a qualified architect with no aspirations in life, meets Kaajal
(Ayesha).
He
falls in love at first sight but is too shy to express his feelings.
When
he finds that she wants a self made man to sweep her off her feet,
Arjun jets off to Mumbai and returns few months later with a multi-million
dollar business contract.
When
he arrives at Kaajal's house, he is shocked to discover that she
is getting engaged to the man of her dreams - the multi-millionaire
workaholic, Raveer.
And
so life continues, as a shy Arjun becomes Kaajal's best buddy in
her hour of need.
Like
most Hindi movies, the heroine finds her right beau in shining armour
in the end.
Debut
director Lovely Singh fails to provide the right entertainment in
this love triangle due to its weak screenplay.
The
film over-exposes the stunning South African locales so it looks
more like a holiday programme.
And
it's also interspersed by a lacklustre comedy track consisting of
Arjun's annoying, sex-obsessed sidekicks making you cringe with
disgust.
Tusshar
Kapoor expresses the various shades of Arjun's character with perfection
but his efforts go unnoticed due to a weak screenplay.
Newcomer
Karan Hukku has a strong screen presence considering this is his
first film whilst Ayesha Takia as the girl next door gives able
support to the male stars.
On
the whole Kya Love Story Hai is a mediocre Hindi film strictly reserved
for Tusshar fans.
