This
drama focuses on a young Pakistani man (Shaan) who goes to America as a student
for further studies. During
his years of higher education, the tragic events of 9/11 takes place. In
the investigations that follow, this young man gets arrested by the American authorities. The
film then focuses on his brother, a Muslim singer who is being encouraged by his
old friend Shershah Hameed Sheikh to refrain from any sort of musical activity

He
falls in love with an American woman but refuses to marry her because she is not
a follower of Islam. He
too gets arrested during the 9/11 aftermath by the FBI authorities. Despite his
experiences in prison, he maintains his focus of what he believes in. Meanwhile,
his uncle (Humayun Kazmi) arrives in Pakistan from London with his cousin Mary
(Iman Ali). She wants to marry her English boyfriend back in the UK against her
parents' wishes. The
uncle forcefully brings her to Pakistan and marries her off to her cousin who

is held captive in a remote tribal village near Afghanistan where she lives among
people not exposed to the outside world - and finds comfort in their company. Filmed
in some beautiful locations in Pakistan and Afghanistan, Khuda Ke Liyee has many
memorable moments. This
thought-provoking film will not only spark a debate on individuals' religious
beliefs but will also leave a long lasting impact. Khuda
Ke Liyee marks the directorial debut of Shoaib Mansoor who shows great potential
as a movie maker. He
has used a simple story to portray the various aspects of Islam which people of
