Oldham 0-2 Swindon

  • Published

A first-half brace from Raffaele De Vita was enough for Paolo Di Canio's Swindon Town to beat in-form Oldham.

Matt Ritchie crossed for the Italian striker to fire low past Latics keeper Alex Cisak and set Swindon on the way to a first win in four games.

And De Vita's deflected shot from 12 yards clinched the three points.

Midfielder Robbie Simpson ended the game in goal for Oldham, who had made their three substitutions, after Cisak was forced off with a head injury.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Oldham manager Paul Dickov told 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Manchester:

"I would love to come out here and defend them, but there was a lack of pride and a lack of professionalism.

"The reason why we've been on this good run is because all the stuff we've worked on in training, we've taken into a match.

"For me, there were too many individuals out there who thought they knew better."

Swindon Town manager Paolo Di Canio told 麻豆官网首页入口 Wiltshire:

Scoring first was vital - Di Canio

"In the last three games, we have deserved much more.. Today we got what we deserved.

"It was important that the first real chance we had, we took.

"In this league if you go 1-0 up, 90% of the time you will win the game.

"Today I have to be happy, we did very well."
