Stockport County manager Dave Challinor says their record-equalling run of victories is nice but will mean nothing unless promotion is secured.
Saturday's 2-0 win over Colchester United was their 12th in a row, matching the fourth-tier record set by Luton Town in 2001-02.
It leaves them six points clear at the top of League Two and eight ahead of the play-off spots.
"It doesn't mean anything until the end of the season," said Challinor.
"To be given pats on the back and to have accolades is lovely and they are reinforcements that you are doing things right.
"We have a finite figure of points that we think we'll need at the end of the season to help us achieve what we want and today, we're three points closer to that," he told 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Manchester.
Last season, Stockport missed out on automatic promotion on the final day of the campaign and then lost to Carlisle United on penalties in the play-off final at Wembley.
But they look determined to make up for that this season on the back of their long winning streak.
Challinor admitted the performance against Colchester was not a vintage one, but the result keeps them motoring along at the top of the table.
"It's a brilliant achievement for us and massive congratulations to the players," he added.
"It wasn't our prettiest performance but we found a way and that's the most important thing, not just over this period but over the course of the season."
