Ross McCausland: Philippe Clement 'positive' over new deal for winger

Rangers manager Philippe Clement says he has "a good feeling" about a new contract for Northern Ireland winger Ross McCausland.
McCausland made his first start for the club against Livingston the week before he made his senior Northern Ireland debut in the Nations League.
The 20-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season.
"I have a good feeling around that, but it needs to be on paper first," said Clement.
The Rangers boss admitted he had "no idea" if any other clubs were interested in McCausland but added: "We're talking with him about a new contract."
McCausland moved to Ibrox in 2019 from Irish Premiership side Linfield and made his debut for the club in May 2022 as a substitute against Hearts.
He impressed on his first start against Livingston earlier in November and was subsequently drafted into Michael O'Neill's Northern Ireland squad, going on to start against Finland in Helsinki.
"I could have treated the situation in a different way and first let him sign a contract before I let him play or start," Clement added.
"I didn't do that because I know how important Glasgow Rangers is for Ross.
"After his game against Livingston and the good performance, he got also the international call.
"That's also because he started a game. I think we're on the right way and I have total trust that it's going to be a positive story."
