Chris Hughes: Newtown manager leaves club after more than a decade in charge

Newtown were beaten 4-0 at Barry Town United last weekend in what proved to be Chris Hughes' final game in charge
Manager Chris Hughes has left Newtown after more than 10 years in charge of the Cymru Premier club.
Hughes, 44, has overseen a successful era at Newtown since taking charge in November 2013.
The Latham Park club are guaranteed of a top-six finish in the Cymru Premier this season.
"This decision marks the end of a significant era for Newtown AFC," said a club statement released on social media.
"The board expresses profound gratitude to Chris for his unwavering dedication over the past 10 years.
"Through his guidance the team has achieved consistent performances, often finishing in the top six of the league and on three occasions experiencing European football.
"His contributions have been pivotal to the club's achievements and have left a lasting impact on the club."
Newtown are fourth in the Cymru Premier going into Saturday's trip to leaders The New Saints, the last game before the league splits.
They have lost their last three games, against Barry Town United, Bala Town and Connah's Quay Nomads.
