Fleetwood Town forward Jayden Stockley has scored six goals in 12 games since the arrival of Charlie Adam as manager

Fleetwood Town manager Charlie Adam was "proud" of the character his team showed in rescuing a 2-2 draw at Port Vale on Tuesday.

Substitute Jayden Stockley scored in the 88th and 93rd minutes as the Cod Army fought back from 2-0 down against their fellow relegation strugglers.

"I'm really proud of the attitude and hunger to really go for 96, 97 minutes," Adam said.

The draw keeps Fleetwood 23rd in League One, eight points adrift of safety.

The Lancashire club have only lost two of their last eight league games, and Adam is happy with what he is getting from his squad as he tries to mastermind an escape from the drop.

"Coming back shows there's a togetherness and a good spirit within the camp," the Scot told 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Lancashire.

"They are fighting and battling and the supporters are really proud of them and I'm really proud of them as manager of Fleetwood Town."

Fleetwood next face 13th-placed Wigan at home on Saturday.
