Lincoln City chief executive Liam Scully has been banned from Sincil Bank for one game and fined 拢2,000 for "improper and threatening" conduct towards a match official.

It occurred in the 5-0 home League One win over Bristol Rovers on 16 March.

Scully admitted that his "language and/or behaviour towards an official" around the tunnel area after the final whistle was improper.

But the Imps CEO denied that his conduct had been threatening.

It followed Imps defender Ethan Erhahon's 76th-minute sending-off for a second yellow card - the 10th red card issued by match referee Scott Simpson in 25 games this season.

The one-game ban and fine for Scully, who is also chair of the EFL Trust, was imposed by an independent regulatory commission following the charge brought by the Football Association.

Scully will miss Friday's home game between eighth-placed Lincoln and 10th-placed Leyton Orient.
