Cori Williams-Mills bagged a hat-trick as Gwalia United thrashed Bridgwater United 4-0 to book their place in the third round of the Adobe Women鈥檚 FA Cup.

The Welsh side had to return to their former home of Ocean Park in Cardiff due to their current Spytty Park stadium in Newport being waterlogged.

Wet conditions made life difficult, until a pass from midfielder Chloe Lloyd cut through fourth tier Bridgewater鈥檚 defence, playing Gwalia captain Williams-Mills in one-on-one with the goalkeeper.

Williams-Mills passed the ball calmly into the back of the net to open the scoring.

It wouldn鈥檛 be long before the captain struck again, converting a header from an Emily Poole corner on the stroke of half time.

Williams-Mills would complete her hat-trick 10 minutes into the second half with her shot from the edge of the box sailing past Alex Madden in goal.

Gwalia, who play in the third tier of the English pyramid, wouldn鈥檛 ease up though, with substitute Jessie Taylor striking the ball from outside the box in the 90th minute to make it four for Gwalia and ensure a place in round three.

The second tier Women鈥檚 Championship teams are introduced into the draw from the third round, with the likes of Newcastle United, Sheffield United or Bristol City among potential opponents.
