Nottingham Panthers captain Meyers believes in squad

Nottingham Panthers captain Danny Meyers believes his side can turn around a three-goal deficit and reach the play-off finals weekend.

Panthers trail Braehead Clan 3-0 going into Saturday's quarter-final second leg at the National Ice Centre.

Meyers told "I feel extremely confident in my team-mates this weekend.

"The confidence in the team has still not waived. I feel good about our chances on Saturday."

The Great Britain international says the whole dressing room has thought about nothing else since Tuesday's defeat in Scotland.

"After the game in Braehead there was utter silence as you can imagine for 15 to 20 minutes," Meyers added.

"We got up, we all looked at each other and said, 'If this is the way it's going to be, this is the way it is going to be'.

"From that moment on we were getting ourselves ready for Saturday and we are going to be fully prepared.

"[Panthers coach] Corey Neilson sent us all a text this week asking us how many times we had won by three goals or more this season.

"Most people thought between 10 and 15 but it turns out it is 30 times, so we certainly have it in our dressing room to turn it around."
