Great Britain's Chelsie Giles won silver in judo's Paris Grand Slam while team-mate Lucy Renshall took bronze.

Giles, 27, was beaten by Kosovo's reigning Olympic champion Distria Krasniqi in the final of the women's -52kg event.

Renshall, 28, beat the Netherlands' two-time junior champion Joanne van Lieshout in the bronze medal match of the -63kg category.

Judo is included in the Olympics, which take place in Paris in July and August.

Third-seed Giles claimed her best result at the Paris Grand Slam in her first tournament since winning bronze at the European Championships in November.

But her bid for gold was ended by the experienced Krasniqi, who took the lead with 90 seconds remaining of their final after a decisive waza-ari score.

Renshall, meanwhile, kept her own good form going in Olympic year, winning a tight contest after Van Lieshout picked up a third shido penalty during 'Golden Score'.

It was her second medal in the space of a week on the Judo World Tour, following victory at the Portugal Grand Prix.
