The "tiredness disease" - Myalgic Encephalopathy (ME)

Mary’s condition makes her so exhausted, she has to have chairs all over her home… Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Radio Stoke's Mick Tucker went to see her.

How do you like your tea?Ìý You might think there's nothing like making a brew. But for 59 year old Mary from Clayton, making a cuppa isn't easy. In fact, she finds it so exhausting that she has to sit down and take a break mid-way through.

15 years ago she came home from work and was so tired she had to crawl from her car to her front door. It took five more years and early retirement before she was finally diagnosed with ME, a debilitating condition about the causes of which, little is known.

Our reporter Mick Tucker went to meet her, and her friend Mary, to find out more about a condition that's often mocked as 'laziness' or 'yuppie flu'...
