The Khe Sanh Approach

The Khe Sanh Approach was a 4-piece guitar and keyboards band from Bury St.Edmunds. However, they've sacked the drum machine due to musical differences and now have a live person on the stool.

Matt Abysmal - vox, synths, propaganda
Matt Yalson - bass
Tom Warsaw - guitar, vox
Richard Invincible III - guitar
Neil Baldwin - drums

Formed in late 2004, the KSA's profile is rising following their victory at the BurySound 2005 competition (see Web Links for review, pix and audio interview). Aside from the prestige and glory, the win meant 500 free CD pressings, which was nice given that they'd just recorded some new tracks.

Band members have previously served with other local bands such as The Exiles, Dopejam, Miss Black America and The Secret Hairdresser. Lyrically the band show a willingness to write about The Big Issues - judge for yourselves whether they pull it off or not.

Having supported Julian Cope and continued gigging across Suffolk, London and the rest of the UK, a drummer was brought in to replace the less-than-reliable drum machine.

The Khe Sanh Approach

History note - Khe Sanh was a Vietnamese airbase used by the US during the 1960s.
