Video summary

Throughout the summer, animals must continue to find and eat food.

A variety of insects search for food and pollinate flowers and this clip reflects the process.

Humans are not bound by the constant need to find food and so enjoy the good weather.

They take part in leisure activities such as walking in a park, sunbathing, eating outside and playing cricket.

Summer rains have to be endured by humans and wild animals alike, limiting their behaviours, but are perfect for snails which can be seen moving around with ease and demolishing cabbages.

Farmers need the good weather to harvest crops and they work late into the night with combine harvesters to gather the grain before the rains come again.
