"It's not a piano, but it keeps me happy."

Transcript

"The keyboard has been a recurring pattern in my life. When I was seven years old, my parents decided I should have piano lessons. I loved the songs that could be played and the rich warm sounds it made.

Although I enjoyed learning to play, not one of my friends showed any interest. They were into being Franz Beckenbauer or Kevin Keegan on the football pitch behind our houses.

My loyalty to the ivories waned and football, building dens and being a kid won the day. Part of me regrets not keeping up the lessons - I was rubbish at football.

However, I have been playing the drums for the last 14 years. I've also built up a small recording studio part of which is a small analogue sync. It's not a piano but it keeps me happy."
