Sara Owen: Summertime Blues

Summertime Blues

By Sara Owen
June 2004, Mold
Duration: 02:13 mins

Sara's home from university for the summer and is finding the transition very difficult. She can't find any work and is missing her mates. She feels like she has nothing to do.

She lives in a rural area but although this makes the search for work even more difficult, she does love being at home really and eventually reflects that perhaps things are not so bad after all.

Your comments

"Whoa!!! How funny it is when you find someone that has the same feelings about leaving school and the transition there after. I admit, it's pretty tough to get back on your feet during the summer time, looking for a job that others have, and trying to be unbored?, at the same time. heh :)" Andy Salgado from Portland, Oregon U.S.A, Sept 2007.

"I know how Sara feels because I'm between jobs and I haven't received any offers lately as well. Could she [Sara] possibly widen her job search to another country? Working outside of Wales could be a fun travel experience and might actually make her resume look more presentable. There are also elderly people who need help with their farming operations there in Wales, possibly even in the region where Sara lives." Timothy Vaughan Burton from Springfield, MO., U.S, Sept 2007.
