The recession is fuelling increased demand for further and higher education. But supply is struggling to keep up as public spending is squeezed and the pressure builds to deliver more with less.

The Freshers' Fairs are over and Welsh student life is back in full swing.
Around the country, universities and colleges are full of young students looking to learn new skills and improve their prospects in a tightening jobs market.
But as the recession fuels increased demand for further and higher education, supply is struggling to keep up.
Some further education colleges have had to lose jobs and cut courses as the credit crunch evolves into a squeeze on public spending.
Higher Education - provided by Wales' universities - is less reliant on tax-payer's money and has so far been insulated from the worst effects of the deterioration in the public finances - but for how much longer?
With the pressure on both higher and further education institutions to deliver more with less, Wales' universities may be next to feel the chill.
