War Wounds

On the tenth anniversary of war in Afghanistan, and in the run up to Armistice Day, Eye on Wales hears the story of one family's experience of war and its aftermath.

Last updated: 30 October 2011

Lloyd Jones is now twenty three years old. Seven years ago he joined the Royal Artillery and served in both Iraq and then Afghanistan.

During this time he lost close friends and colleagues, and witnessed events that were to have a lasting effect on his psychological health.

Lloyd now knows that he has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, but it has taken two years "of hell" to find out.

For this programme, Lloyd, his mother Sarah Rees, and his wife Lauren Jones, tell their story.

This programme airs one hour earlier at 12 midday on Sunday 30 October. The programme contains some strong images.
