Paul Henley, presenter for Europe Today

  • Studied French and German at Cambridge University and holds a post-graduate diploma in broadcast journalism.
  • Joined Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Radio 5 Live as a producer in 1994. He spent a stint presenting the Weekend Breakfast programme before fronting Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Radio 5 Live's Euronews programme.
  • He presented Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Radio 4's Crossing Continents, The Citizens, The MEPs and the documentary What's so Special About the Norwegians?, which was nominated for a Sony award.
  • Speaks fluent German, French fairly fluently and Spanish and Norwegian.
  • He plays the piano, sings badly at parties, reads lots of modern fiction, likes cooking and French and Spanish wine.

As a reporter and presenter I've had to bribe my way across the Montenegro/Serbia border to report the toppling of Milosevic, I've interviewed the Estonian President (in his sauna), Basque terrorists, Swedish prostitutes, offended one of the best chefs by saying I fancied a good burger during his 26-course meal and interviewed Benny Andersson of Abba.
