How does light travel?
Light travels in straight lines. When light hits an object, it is When something like light, heat or sound bounces off a surface, it is reflected. by that object and travels in straight lines to our eyes. Our eyes take in some of this light and information is sent to the brain. This is how we see the object.

What's really happening when you see something?
Of course, you can only see something when there's light.
And what is light?
It's energy that zooms around very quickly.
Light bounces or reflects off most objects, but not everything.
When light hits your eye, it actually goes right into it through the opening at the front.
The eye then sends signals to the brain.
That's what we call seeing.
How do we see?
Light travels from the light source to the object where it is reflected into our eyes so we can see.
Some objects such as shiny metal objects reflect light better than dark materials which absorb some of the light.
