The Fratellis Sing In A Shop...BE THERE!

Fraser McAlpine | 17:46 UK time, Wednesday, 31 January 2007

Jon FratelliFor some people, the chance to go and see a live band in concert is a pretty damn exciting thing indeed. For others, you'd need to throw in an unusual location too, like on the top of a mountain, or inside Beyonce's nose. And for the most discerning and selective of music fans in the world (hi, ChartBlog readers!), you'd need to have a live band, somewhere interesting AND a special souvenir of the whole event given to you on the way out...

...well, if that's what you want, and you're a fan of the BRIT-AWARD NOMINATED Fratellis, and you've managed to read this far into what appears to be selection of words in search of a point WITHOUT kicking your PC over in disgust...well, read on...IF YOU DARE!

On Tuesday February 6th, Jon, Barry and Mince Fratelli will be taking their acoustic instruments over to the Apple Store (apparently it also sells computers) in London's Regent Street, and then, y'know, playing them and singing a selection of their hit songs.

Like this one...

And, being nice fellas, they've offered ChartBlog two special numbered, laminated, high-security, wipe-clean, eazy-bake, one-stop, drive-through tickety-pass things, so that you (or the someone who wins the competition) can come along and hoot and holler your (their) appreciation. The only down-side is that you're not allowed to throw any of the apples, obv.

AND, a certain online music retailer (affiliated to the shop where the gig is taking place, name sounds like a sneeze, begins with an iT...) is offering free downloads of the entire concert from February 13th, providing you've still got that special numbered laminated ticket thing.

All of which means the Fratellis (did I mention the Brits nomination? Good, good), are very nice boys indeed, and you'll probably be wanting some more details, right?

OK. What you need to do is answer this question:

What's the name of the Fratelli's debut album?

Then put it in an email together with your NAME and POSTAL ADDRESS to chartblog@bbc.co.uk

THINGS TO ALSO BEAR IN MIND: It's in London. On a school day. Just saying...

[Competition closes on February 5th 2007]

Despite being to a different competition entirely, these are the RULES by which ChartBlog comps operate...
