Fun At The Brit Awards - Part 5

THIS THE FINAL SELECTION OF THINGS I HAVE MYSELF WITNESSED IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA...

Brandon's shoesBrandon Flowers of the Killers (AMAZING cowboy boots, eh?) was so distracted by Oasis's performance that he could barely find the words to say how pleased he is at winning two awards. While being interviewed by Chris Moyles, his attention kept wandering to the TV. If you have since heard the broadcast of this interview and want to know why it's so short and frazzled...blame Noel and 'Don't Look Back In Anger'.

But he did find time to tell reporters that winning two Brits this time is especially nice, seeing as they didn't win ANY last time. And apparently 80% of the music the band listen to is British, so he's only selling back to us stuff he bought years ago, with added moustache. I think that's what he meant, anyway.

Aerosmith's Steve Tyler (remember him? Walks like a cowboy?) has a lot of sympathy for Robbie Williams, and he seems to have told loads of people about how Robbie has a monkey on his back, which he needs to get off. Now, far be it from me to pretend to fail to understand addict slang, but if I had a monkey on MY back, and I needed to get it off? I'd be depressed too. What? I'm just saying...

Channel 4's toothy comedian Alan Carr was overheard saying that he's in a state of massive excitement because he managed to get a kiss off all four of Take That. But when asked if he would rather kiss the Red Hot Chili Peppers (don't ask me why, I'd go for the Killers every time) he claimed that he couldn't chose between them, and that he'd have to have all eight at once. And you know, with a mouth that wide, he could just about do it.

And the whole evening was brought to a suitably startling ending with the sight of Chris Moyles and Aled from the Chris Moyles show both miming and playing air guitar to Oasis. Chris's Liam impression (stock still, glaring at people) would've been a lot more impressive if he hadn't been jigging up and down at the time. Mind you, a quick visual survey of the backstage area revealed that almost everyone had stopped what they were doing to watch the Gallaghers do 'Rock 'N' Roll' star. And everyone was either jigging up and down or staring at a TV with their mouths open. A fitting end to a ridiculous night.

Hope Lily Allen is OK...

NIGHT!

Who is Joss Stone? I mean really, WHO IS SHE???? She looked like a complete fool, her dress was VILE and her hair was the equivalent of a hacked hedge. Whats with the new 'american accent'? She looked too skinny and obviously thought she was something special by parading herself across the stage for about 5 minutes and then trying to sing Amy Winehouse's 'Rehab' ...not impressed love, you should just jet back off to America, were better off without you.
