Mad Skills Required...

We all like a show-off, don't we? Even the most ridiculously punchable 'LOOK AT ME!' merchant gives the cynics among us the chance to tut theatrically and roll our eyes. And sometimes they'll be begging for attention because they really do have something to show off about.

But, if you have a talent and you want to share it with the world, the question is how best to achieve this without annoying all of your friends until they want to nail you to the sky and leave you there until you've wet yourself.

Well, thankfully, there's hope for everyone, in the form of TWO new Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú competitions.

The first is for anyone who has ever strummed a tennis racket in front of their bedroom mirror and dreamed of rocking a stadium, or made a drum-kit out of tupperware and chopsticks. Rockerz is a search for the most twiddle-fingered musical talent in the land, with a view to fusing all of this, like enormo-talent into THE most ass-kicking of kick-ass rock bands.

That's right, Team Rockerz are looking for super-chops in the field of guitar, bass, drums, vocals, keyboards...and dancing (it's an inclusive kinda thing). And they don't even want you to audition, it's all about the YouTube clippage.

Full details are available at the Rockerz website (bbc.co.uk/rockerz), but all you need to know right now is that the winners will be transformed into super-cartoons (seriously!) and that there is a Wembley show at the end of it all...

====================================

Pretty exciting, eh? But what if your dancing is more 'street' than 'mad-shaking-rock-dude'? Well, I'm glad I pretended that you asked this question.

Bust A MoveSome of you may remember the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Blast website's Bust-A-Move competition from last year, where the best poppers, lockers, freestylers and...y'know, people who can do breakdancing and stuff...got the chance to show their best gravity-defying moves to a grateful nation.

Well, it's back. And for the winner, there's the chance to showcase your best stuff on a West End stage, should you be judged to be the one with sufficient 'flow'. There's also a dance masterclass for runners up. All you need to do is send your most original move to Team Blast, and who knows where it'll take you?

Full details are available at the Blast Bust-A-Move page...

Now, would it be too much to ask that the rest of you show-offs just keep to yourselves for a bit? Some of us are trying to watch the telly here...
