Chappers This is just the best experience ever!! I may sound like a little kid but I am loving this World Cup, even the negatives like Dave snoring next to me each night (we are in twin beds not a double) is not spoiling this tournament. I have loved every single game. In fact the most boring half of football I have seen was probably the 2nd half of the England game.

I really enjoyed the Mexico against Iran game, some great knockabout football. I thought the Czechs looked awesome against the USA. Such a shame to see the Americans get a stuffing in any sport! And Italy versus Ghana was cracking last night as well, me and Dave watched that together away from the rest of the group. We are getting the reputation of the moody brothers of the group. Speaking of reputation...

can i just say how disgusted I am with the comments of Rachel Jones of Kiddeminster. She has accused myself and big boss Rhys of spending too much time watching barmaids during the England match. Can I just point out that the gorgeous girl in question (by that I mean the waitress, not Rachel) was on her first day at work and needed encouragement and support and that was what we were trying to give her. Admittedly a href="/blogs/chrismoyles/2006/06/spreading_the_love.html">Rhys shouldn't have roared like a tiger when she came near but he claims that was a show of support to her as well.

Am now off for a run in the baking heat with the King of Snoring and then it is time for a salad and some water. Need to keep my lithe atheltic shape even though I am abroad. Tonight we are going to watch Brazil against Croatia in the square in the nearby town and if there are any waitresses working their first night me and Rhys will be at our supportive best.

Glad you are enjoying the World Cup, how does it compare to your time in Portugal at Euro 2004 ? Reason I ask is that I 'won' a competition on yours and Dave's show the day you were leaving the villa. My reasoning as to why I should win a signed football was that I was on the way to my cousin's wedding with my girlfriend. The prize never materialised and my girl dumped me shortly after (admittedly probably more to do with sleeping with her sister than not getting the football) but technically you (and Dave) still owe me a prize. How about an eqivalent from Germany (signed ball not girlfriend) ?
