90% of deaths cased by malaria happen in Africa. £5 could buy a malaria bed net, distribute it to someone in need and make sure they're educated on the importance of using it.

Apparently, money from the charity supplying mosquito nets to guard against Malaria could be putting much needed small businesses in Africa in jeopardy. These businesses make and sell mosquito nets. Surely, the object of comic relief has always been not to give these people charity but to enable them to build and protect their own. I don't know the full details of this information but it would be most appreciated if someone could look into it. many thanks. Kath Pierre-Warren. M/C

Reduce it to 100000 (still more than he deserves) use the 600,000 to buy 120000 nets in a year multiply that by life expetancy over 3,000,000 nets
Multiply that buy all of the pensions of failed self interested bank CEO's and who knows we might see the back of malaria in in children in Africa - and let them sue

(1) the rate at which Malaria is killing the West African population, especially children and pregnant women and
(2) measures to prevent and eradicate, if not minimize, the Malaria disease within the community with a special emphasis on educating the population on the need to avoid creating breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
Campaign KMO will run from August 20 2009 thru September 20 2009 but the outreach by the combined volunteers is for first two weeks, in the following countries: Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, & Liberia.
Campaign KMO will start in Ghana with Volunteers from all over the world, including medical professionals, students, educators and various professions.
