What's your role at Euro 2008?
Covering the tournament, since the qualifiers, from London, working on our match reports, comment pieces and generally ensuring the 麻豆官网首页入口 website is the best for the tournament. Sadly, being our England reporter means that as and missed out on Austria and Switzerland, so did I!

Favourite team and favourite player?
This must remain a secret on the grounds of impartiality, but on our 606 message boards I have been roundly insulted on a regular basis for being an Everton and Liverpool fan so feel free to take your pick. My favourite player? - a legend at Hull, Newcastle, Oxford, Reading, Sunderland, Hull again, Sheffield United, Stoke, Doncaster and Crewe, on loan of course.

Ideal sporting dinner guest?
. Say what you like about him, and plenty have, no-one can argue with his batting record for Yorkshire and England. If he was selfish, give me a few more like him in the current England team. He is also a superb broadcaster and an analyst who makes you listen to every word he says.

Best bit of advice you've received?
Don't.

Tell us something the public might not know about you...
I once played for a media team against the full Wales team at what is now the Millennium Stadium - when Bobby Gould was in charge. It was 40 minutes of trying to get the ball off the likes of Ryan Giggs and Dean Saunders - while gazing at the unemployed figure of Neville Southall in the far distance. Final score 3-0. Moral victory in anyone's book.

Disappointed the Home Nations didn't make it to Euro 2008?
Not disappointed because none of them deserved to get there - although I would have liked to have seen Scotland get there after such . As for England, they let themselves down so I would not spare any of my disappointment for them.

Will there be another surprise winner?
Depends what you mean by a surprise. I'm going for to actually deliver and win a major championship - which is a surprise I suppose.

Finally, how many goals will be scored at Euro 2008?
79.
