Another Nats dilema. They love the Libs when they are putting up bound to fail proposals like Dan Rodgerson did on the assembly, but hate the Libs who gave them the unitary authority they didn't want. They love the likes of Andrew George when he is spouting nationalist platitudes, but vote against him when there is a MK candidate. More evidence of the schizophrenic nature of Cornish Nationalism.

Cornish Nationalists are irrelevant when it comes to a discussion of national politics...haven't you learned that yet?

The point is that those that have voted for this 'situation', which include so called Cornish MP's called Gilbert, Rodgerson, Eustice, Murray and Newton deserve everything they sow.

Labour were the only party to fight this all the way to the final stages of the Bill. There are no Cornish Nationalists in parliament who can stand up in Parliament to debate this.

I agree the nationalists are of no influence 28days. But they are spreading the lie about Cornwall's border being changed. again, and should be thwarted in this. Lies do not do Cornwall any good.

I have to thank young Dave, for constantly raising awareness of the Nationalist cause.
I also have to agree that lies do Cornwall no good. We just disagree on what constitutes a lie.

To actually get back to the topic, I would just like to point out that "today" they try to diminish the ancient border of Cornwall. Who's border are they going to attempt to diminish, and eventually remove, "tomorrow". England and France merged into one large European constituency anyone? After all, why should a border that has only been in existence for a few hundred years be worth making a fuss over?
We could have Paris as the capital of the new "West Europe" region.

They are "diminishing" the border now are they? On a rampant crusade to diminish invisible arbitrary lines, the cads!! Must be a plot against the Cornish!!

Dave old chap, I think you will find that if you actually read the OP by Mr. Smith, you will notice that there is not one mention of Cornish Nationalists, schizophrenic or otherwise.

Now now Slimslad, how can it possibly be a border set by god when it could, legitimately, be argued that it has only been a mere 210 odd years since the English Royal Family have accepted it as a border at all. A mere 210 years since they have not tried to claim sovereignty over that small tract of western Europe known as, France.

I used the term "English Royal Family" because in the context of that post, we were discussing the English border. However, up until 1811, by your argument, they could legitimately be called the French Royal Family as well.

If there is "imperialistic aggression" involved then it stands to reason there is an imperial aggressor.

But I couldn't in this case. But there was no hint of anti-Cornish "racism" in my posts.

Seems this "racism" is becoming a bit of a collector's item.
