I Really have enjoyed your summaries, and a great reminder of a fantastic weekend of racing. I think Hamilton is the better racer, but he is still too inexperienced and is told what to do by other people (melbourne last year) and dose not think for himself whereas Jenson thinks for himself, enabling him to win races.

Spain seems a while off yet but we also have Monaco the week after. Should all the upgrades be fitted we should know a lot more after those races.

I do hope Massa gets some revenge...this should have made the review I would add.

Hi,comments about Buttons reaction after safety car I thought it was drivers desgretion on the start he did good.What is the problem.A great race and win .

Super review as always Murray, although I would disagree on one small point you made about Nico Rosberg - he did "put a wheel wrong" when he went off whilst in the lead, which gave Button the opportunity to pass him and ultimately win the race. Anyway, nit picking aside, I'm really looking forward to the European races and car updates which should hopefully bring Schumacher more towards the front of the grid.

Great to see Murray on such good form. Some people just know how to communicate.

It's shaping to be an interesting season for Maclaren's Brits, Lewis' raw pace and gung ho racing style vs Jenson's smooth driving and great racing brain and tactics.

As much as i respect Button, I'm a Hamilton fan for the sheer excitement he brings.

I liked your video blog, just call me a pedant but Petrov finished 7th not 4th as you said. The two best GP's have been wet, the Malaysian GP was run in the dry with the only overtaking generated by a wet qualifying and McLaren and Ferrari making a complete balls up of their qualifying strategies. I think in total dry conditions overtaking will be limited. The teams need to reduce downforce for next season so dry overtaking is easier, the racing would be spiced up if qualifying was abolished, and the drivers lined up in reverse order of the championship, with the lowest placed points scorer starting on pole then the fast cars would have to overtake. The grid for the first race would be set on the Saturday of the first Grand Prix of the season (that GP being a 3 day event) all other races being two days it would shave millions of teams budgets.

I am so interested in what you have to say, but I just want to listen to your voice. It makes me feel like a teenager again when G Villeneuve was tearing up the tarmac.

So what do I do now? I go to YouTube to get a fix of Murray commentating on the cars going around a circuit, and pretend that my views on the race are your views.

We miss you so much Murray, but even more so when we commit the crime of being abroad. Please, let them release your video blog to the international domain too.

A fantastic review as always Sir Murray. I think the way Button is handling himself so far this season as world champion is making what he did last year seem all the more impressive. Hamilton seems to lose his head and chases the race too hard instead of letting it come to him. For me the two most impressive drivers so far have been Button and Rosberg. Loving the season so far, long may the rain continue. Perhaps tracks should have sprinkler systems set up! ;0)

and on the Hamilton vs Button fight, heres an interesting stat: the average finish for both drivers is 4th/5th. it is close and really shows how the new point scoring system works.

Murray gets it right again, but strangely stayed out of the contenscious move Alonso made on Massa. Fair play though, It is right not to judge people for racing each other

Cheers Murray, you said something that greatly needed to be said in my opinion... at a time when a lot of people have already written off Schumacher and the criticism is becoming overly negative you have brought some balance to the situation and i thoroughly agree with what you said about the best is yet to come and we should give him some time. Not going to name names but i provoked a response from the author of a blog the other day when i suggested that the commentary on Schumacher was sometimes too negatively focused, and if Schumacher was paying attention to it, it could have negative effects on him. oops i must of hit a nerve. The other thing i really wanted to say which i'm sure a lot of people have already said, For me and a lot of other F1 fans you were the voice of our child hood and i get nice flashback's of the early 90's when i hear your voice. your a thoroughly nice bloke and your opinions are always well informed, balanced, and are just simply spot on. Basically we want you back in the commentary box,if not for a season then just one race. Schumi's back, a Sennas back on the grid with future potential, the Brits are on fire, the only thing missing is you my old chum, if you did come back then it would all be GO! GO! GO!

On other subjects though, GINGER (3), what is Massa getting "revenge" for? It's not like Alonso dived up the inside of him. Massa said himself his traction out of the hairpin was woeful. Look at a replay, Alonso has the inside line about 100 metres before the pitlane entrance. Ok Massa did have to use abit of grass but thats just because he didnt back out as early as Vettel did when Hamilton did him in the same space. They both made it round fine!

I'm glad Murray didn't bring it up- probably because there was nothing to complain about. Obviously the British media do like a good uproar around Alonso though. He is the toughest opponent for the british duo!

Murray; I'd just like to echo all the earlier compliments about this thoughtful and well balanced review of the F1 scene and China; in particular re the Hamilton / Button debate. I'm a fan of both drivers, fascinated by their contrasting driving styles, and I can't understand why some bloggers, and one or two commentators, seem unable to support one without seeking to denigrate the other. I've been interested in motor sport since growing up within earshot of Brands Hatch in the early "60s and you write more good sense about it than anyone else so many thanks, keep it up and keep us enthusiasts informed and entertained!

murray didn't say petrov finished 4th , he said he held 4th , not at all the same

I woke up at 7.30 yesterday with matron coming through my door (I'm at public school dontcha know) and I just thought, bloody hell can't these poor people do something better with their lives like making me a sandwich? Anyway the old formula one dosn't stand up to a jolly good game of rugger.... toodle pip.
