Yep, absolutely. London isn't the UK, and England isn't the UK, yet too many Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú journalists sitting in their little bubble in West London completely forget this. Licence payers in Stornoway and Swansea have exactly the same rights as those in Surrey, yet day after day, week after week, the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú utterly fails to reflect news priorities throughout the UK.
I hardly think 2 letters can be termed 'a series of letters'.
Yeah - and what about the healines I see all the time about that moronic, trivial, decline of empire indicating rubbish on tv called Big Brother?
Sorry Graeme, but you're typical of the people who have this paranoia about news being England - or London - centric. It's utter nonsense.
If you look at the top stories right now, how many of them would you say were England or London centric? The only one I count is the terror suspects story (which is more of a national concern anyway). There's also a story about the Orkneys!
Most stories effect the whole of the UK. Honestly - the world isn't out to get you.
Graeme isn't being paranoid Steve, your reaction to his comment illustrates the complete lack of understanding regarding the presentation and prioritising of news in 'the regions' (awful term and an insult to Scotland, a nation, incidentally.)
The solution? A Scottish Six.
I agree wholeheartedly with my name sake - who cares if a ball has been damaged a bit, cricket is a minority sport, the numbers playing here north of the border are tiny and yet this incident made it to the top story on Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú news reports - why? If I was interested I'd listen to Radio 5 Live!
I'm glad the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú had the lead story on the Cricket. Personally, I hate Cricket, but seeing the SAME headlines day in, day out just bugs the hell out of me.

Just remember that 5/6 of the UK's population lives in England.
I'm sorry, but where are you talking about? The news, as reported both on here and on the TV bulletins, are stories from around the UK, with further localised news by region. Exactly what is happening in Scotland and Wales right now which you think isn't receiving sufficient coverage in comparison to England news?
Sorry, but the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú has got the balance right. If a lot of news is "London centric" then you'll most likely find that it's because London is the political and business hub of the UK.
