Complaint
This bulletin included a report on the proposed extension of the London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ).聽 Two viewers complained that it was inaccurate in identifying road traffic as a major source of air pollution in London and consequently lacking in impartiality in giving a misleading impression of the balance of the argument on this controversial topic.聽 The ECU considered the complaint in the light of the 麻豆官网首页入口鈥檚 editorial standards of accuracy and impartiality.
Outcome
Having considered data published by various sources, including (but not limited to) the Department of Transport, the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs, London Councils (the collective of Local Government in London), ScienceDirect and the European Environment Agency, the ECU concluded that there was no inaccuracy in the report鈥檚 identification of road traffic as a major source of air pollution in London, and therefore no consequential departure from impartiality.
