Coventry's city centre management agency CV One have invited the craft fair, organised by E.G. Sketts, back to the city for the sixth time.

The fair includes both handmade and mass-produced crafts from local and overseas producers. The fair will take place from 9am-5pm every Saturday in July (6, 13, 20 & 27) in the Precinct's Upper Market Way.

Shoppers looking for something exotic will find crafts from Africa to India. The African arts and crafts include stone and metal sculptures. Embroidered clothes come courtesy of India and there are Indonesian batik clothes and scarves as well as gifts, crafts and ceramics.

There are a wealth of home-made objects at the fair, which range from hand painted clothes, cards, jewellery, stained glass, mirrors, cushion covers and photo frames to brass, silver and plaster crafts.

Mass produced wares include silver and costume jewellery, beanie babies, Disney merchandise and wooden garden furniture.

The fair's more unusual items include ironworks, diabetic products, bonsai trees and memorabilia pictures incorporating football and filmstar paraphernalia.

E G Skett's market organiser Russell Dean said, "We like to establish city centre events. We are returning to Coventry for the sixth year and shoppers are now starting to expect to see us in the city centre over the summer and have the confidence to keep coming back. A large proportion of the crafts are made in the Midlands but there are interesting imports too."

CV One's Toni Garratt said, "The Summer Craft Fairs are in important part of making Coventry city centre a livelier and more interesting place to shop. There's a wide range of crafts on display for people who like something a little bit different, which also make ideal gifts."
