Neo-folk Originator

Acclaimed songwriter Suzanne Vega emerged on New York's early 1980s 'neo-folk' scene, when she began performing her own songs accompanying herself on acoustic guitar in the clubs of Greenwich Village.

28 years and more than seven million album sales later, she has become known for recording in multiple styles, from stripped back acoustic performances, to sophisticated electronic arrangements.

She has collaborated with artists ranging from The Soul Rebels Brass Band to filmmaker David Lynch, virtuoso trumpeter Alison Balsom, composer Philip Glass and folk guitar legend Richard Thompson.

Her new album, Tales from the Realm of the Queen of Pentacles, is her first of all-new material for seven years.
