Melanie’s first solo venture was featuring on Bryan Adams’s single When You’re Gone. Entering the UK charts at Number 3, Melanie has gone on to release six solo albums, achieving over 3 million album sales, two Number 1 singles and six Top 10 singles.

In 2009, Melanie took to the stage as Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers, earning 5- star reviews from respected theatre critics for her performance, and was nominated for both a prestigious Laurence Olivier Award and an Evening Standard Theatre Award nomination for Outstanding Newcomer. Following this, Melanie was a mentor and judge on Shine, the TV show in which Andrew Lloyd Webber searched for the leading man for his arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, and went on to perform as Mary Magdalene in the final production.

Since then, Melanie reunited with the Spice Girls to perform at the Olympic Closing Ceremony in London, paddled 111km down the Zambezi River for the BT Red Nose Day Challenge and toured Australia with the production of Jesus Christ Superstar. In November, Melanie will be touring for 29 dates with the ever popular Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra – a spectacular end to 2013.
