Prom 1: First Night of the Proms

The festival opens with Elgar鈥檚 biblical oratorio The Kingdom 鈥� the beautiful 鈥榮low movement鈥� of a planned musical triptych. Celebrated Elgarian Sir Andrew Davis conducts the massed forces of the 麻豆官网首页入口 Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and the 麻豆官网首页入口 National Chorus of Wales. They are joined by a distinguished cast of soloists including Proms regulars Christopher Purves and Catherine Wyn-Rogers.

Please note there will be no interval.
