Concert Information
Hosted in inimitable style by Petroc Trelawny, the Last Night of the 2019 Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Dubai Proms brings everyone together for the kind of musical party every great music festival should have.
The Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Symphony Orchestra, Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Singers, baritone Roderick Williams, Ksenija Sidorova and the Dubai Opera Festival Chorus are all presided over by conductor Richard Farnes whose Proms debut took place in 2018.
Alongside the traditional musical elements of the Last Night, Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 and Rule, Britannia!, the programme includes Stanford’s Songs of the Sea, the fiery passion of tango, and of Carmen, an exquisite Shakespeare setting for 16 soloists and orchestra by Vaughan Williams, and much more. This is one concert you won’t want to miss.
