Sarah Vaughan, born 100 years ago, spanned a range of genres, working with great musicians from Dizzy Gillespie to Michael Tilson Thomas. Her unparalleled vocal technique, which married operatic grandeur with the coolness of jazz, left audiences spellbound. The Proms presents an evening of songs made famous by Vaughan, including 鈥楳ean to Me鈥�, 鈥業f You Could See Me Now鈥� and 鈥楤ody and Soul鈥�.
