More information

Join us to celebrate Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Music Day 2016 to create a new, collaborative piece of music and perform/record it in the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Philharmonic Studio at MCUK, with your friends from the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Philharmonic, your friends from the Nottingham Family Orchestra & chorus and students from the RNCM.
Your performance will form part of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú’s annual celebration of music – Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Music Day 2016 which will happen on Friday 3rd June across all media and digital platforms.

Now in its 6th year, the Salford Family Orchestra is a project that brings together enthusiastic musicians and their families, who live or work in Salford.

Can I take part?
Yes! We would really like to encourage new families to join us. Everyone is welcome, from beginners to experienced players, whether aged 8 or 88, provided you live, work or attend school or college in Salford. You don’t need to be able to play and instrument – you can sing or play a percussion instrument (which will be provided).

What does it involve?
Your new piece will evolve from a series of creative, practical workshops, where most of the ideas will come from you and the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú team will simply help you to craft and refine them. You will need to attend all three of the rehearsals, as well as the performance day on 3rd June.
