About this event
Proms Plus Family workshops are the perfect introduction to the music you鈥檒l be hearing at the Proms. Fun and interactive, the workshops engage with children of all ages and abilities so that they really get the most out of the music.
Tonight join Rachel Leach for a free family-friendly introduction to Prom 49. This Prom is one big fairy-tale, featuring Ravel鈥檚 enchanting Mother Goose and Szymanowski鈥檚 sparkling Songs of a Fairy Princess. There鈥檚 exciting new music from Finnish composer Jukka Tiensuu, and a happy ending, too, when Scheherazade tells her stories from the Arabian Nights in Rimsky-Korsakov鈥檚 magical masterpiece.
Professional musicians will be on hand at the workshop to bring the music to life, and if you have instruments of your own, bring them along and join in!聽
Suitable for ages 7-plus.
