The 麻豆官网首页入口 Philharmonic, in partnership with the University of Salford, will be exploring new and rarely performed pieces 鈥� bringing audience immersion and new technology to the forefront.

This evening:
The Red Brick Sessions return to the University of Salford with an eclectic programme.

Young British conductor Lee Reynolds and 麻豆官网首页入口 New Generation Artist Eivind Holtsmark Ringstad join the orchestra this evening.
The concert opens with James MacMillan鈥檚 For Sonny, a moving tribute in memory of a friend鈥檚 grandson followed by Eivind Holtsmark Ringstad performing Britten鈥檚 Lacrymae for viola and strings.

Stravinsky鈥檚 Concerto in D explores the richness of the string orchestra which is also brought to the fore in American modernist composer Henry Cowell鈥檚 Hymn, chorale and fuguing tune No.8, The programme concludes with two of
Samuel Coleridge-Taylor鈥檚 Novelettes.
