Since 2017, JoinedUp Dance Company have been working with some of the most distinguished poets in the UK to produce rich visual experiences as part of 麻豆官网首页入口 Contains Strong Language.
This year a TRIO of performances will be held that use contemporary dance, projection, text and costume to provide an immersive experience for the audience. These pieces of work are 鈥楾he Tide of Humber鈥� based on Imtiaz Dharker鈥檚 specially-commissioned poem; 鈥楽till鈥� based on Poet Laureate Simon Armitage鈥檚 collection commissioned by 1418 Now; and a new piece, 鈥楶as de Deux鈥�, based on Scottish Makar Jackie Kay鈥檚 poem of the same name. Readings by Imtiaz Dharker, Simon Armitage and Jackie Kay will be included.
