"Rocky V" is a disappointing end to a highly enjoyable franchise that MGM seem quite happy to release on a passable but lazy DVD.
Picture quality is quite adequate with the muted colours of the cinematography reproduced without any grain.
The 2.0 sound mix is a curious choice. It means that along with the "Rocky II disc, this is the only other DVD in the series with a Surround effort instead of a 5.1 track. It's not bad and the rears kick in plenty during moments of drama but it's lazy and adds to the feeling that this is not the way to end the "Rocky" saga.
Extra features? Well, there's a trailer - and that's no knockout (that hurt! - Ed).
