Sydney Pollack has been making movies for five decades. The Indiana-born actor/director/producer has made successful romantic comedies (the wonderful Tootsie and not so wonderful remake of Billy Wilder's Sabrina), romances (The Way We Were and Oscar-winning Out Of Africa), dramas (They Shoot Horses, Don't They?; Absence Of Malice), and thrillers (Three Days Of The Condor, with Robert Redford, and The Firm).
He's returned to the thriller genre with Sean Penn-Nicole Kidman starrer The Interpreter, his first movie since the poorly received Random Hearts in 1999. Watch our two-part interview with the director below...
