Sing karaoke
Karaoke is a good way to learn intonation and pronunciation. Take a famous song and practise with the words in front of you. Try eg. 'Volare' for Italian or 'La Bamba' for Spanish.

Singing karaoke would be great for a lot of people, but most wouldn't do it in their mother tongue let alone another! The problem is, does it really help? I have known a lot of foreigners who could sing beautifully, but almost like parrots, copying word for word the intonation and pronunciation of the song, but outside of the song when they had to speak for real they neither knew the words and their heavy accents came out. I don't see how it could benefit you unless you spoke in song. A great exercise, quite entertaining but impractical. Also taking into account 'La Bamba' if you were going to Spain, would you pronounce se necesita un poco de gracia - you need a bit of charm - like the Spanish or the Central/South Americans? (ps I don't think this makes too much of a difference but I am refering to songs with lots of slang/dialect etc)
I always do this, the Eurovision Song Contest is also a good way to hear other languages in songs. I also translate songs into other languages such as Esperanto and French.
I learnt English that way, following the lyrics of a song and watching movies in English with English subtitles. Very useful!
And even remembering a song in English will improve your memory - it's useful for learning foreign languages!
That helps a lot. Learn any song you like by heart and sing it to yourself. Do not bother about the meaning ... it will come later.
Yes, it is a good idea. I try to learn French, and the most difficult thing for me is pronunciation and listening. The songs are not so fast as spoken language. And I love singing as well...Thanks for all who post French karaoke songs on the internet.
